Poster Printing

The School of Veterinary Medicine Imaging Lab has a flat-bed printer on which posters can be printed in one large piece. The office requires that you make an appointment to print your poster, and limited hours are availble. Please plan in advance if you want to print your poster this way. Poster Preparation - This site from the American Society of Plant Bioligists tells you what makes a great poster, where to begin when creating your own poster, and details about poster layout & assembly.

Effective Presentations - Guidelines for oral and poster presentations from the University of Kansas Medical Center with links to other web sites. Some of the links contain material developed by the university, and some of them are commercial.

How to prepare for Oral Presentations - a handout from a business communications class at Cal State Northridge that includes guidelines for preparing a PowerPoint Presentation.

 

Video Production

Video Recording Equipment - Students enrolled in seminars can check out VHS camcorders from Multimedia Equipment Support. Reserve equipment at least 3 days before you need it!

DHC also has a MiniDV camcorder that students can check out on a 24-hour basis. Contact Lindsay Hass at 752-3225 or lnhass@ucdavis.edu to reserve the camera for a particular time. Tapes are provided.


Media Computer Lab -
1154 Meyer Hall
is the New Media Lab. It includes specialized software and computers great for designing posters and editing video footage. Because multimedia equipment is popular, it is a good idea to reserve a station in advance.
