Julie
Bergmann, 4th year, Classics
 |
Hi there
DHCers!! My name is Julie Bergmann and I am a 4th year
in the Davis Honors Challenge. So a little bit about
me: my favorite word is awesome (or amazing, it is the
same word in many languages) and I say: like, for sure,
and man, all the time. I have had 6 different majors
and just as many ideas for potential careers. However,
I will graduate this year with a degree in Classical
Civilizations with a focus in philology (aka languages).
After spending some time in Tanzania, I decided that
I may wish to pursue a career in medicine/public health
and thus I took the MCATs, and after a summer in Greece,
I am now interested in archaeology (so, I am going to
apply to both sets of schools). Thus, as one of your
DHC Peer Advisors, I would love to talk to you about
majors or careers, for I have tried many. Also, I volunteer
for Clinica Tepati, I am the Vice President of Classical
Studies Association; I participate in Athletes in Action
and numerous honors societies. So, if something similar
to these interests you or you just want to know how
to get involved, I’d love to talk with you. I
look forward to meeting you this year, so please stop
in the student office and say hi! |
Kaylan
Christianer, 4th Year, Neurobiology Physiology and Behavior
 |
Hello! My name is Kaylan Christianer
(pronounced “Chris-G-an-er”) and I am a
fourth year Neurobiology, Physiology and Behavior major.
I love art, but can’t draw, so I decided to take
on a minor in Art History to satisfy my (talentless)
passion. After graduating, I plan on entering medical
school and studying for the next 20 years. As one of
your DHC Peer Advisors, I am here to answer any of your
questions, whether they are regarding DHC requirements,
academic confusions or general college life! In addition
to working with DHC, I am also involved in Clinica Tepati
and am an intern with the Neuroimmunology Department
at the UC Davis Medical Center. I spent some time in
Mexico last summer and now one of my life goals is to
become fluent in Spanish. I love meeting new people,
so please come say hello during my office hours or at
a DHC event! |
