DHC Mentor-Mentee Program

What is the Mentor-Mentee Program?
The goal of the DHC Mentor-Mentee Program is to create a comfortable and welcoming environment for First-Year DHC students. All incoming DHC First-Year students are matched with continuing DHC student mentors. In sharing their campus experience and knowledge with their mentees, these mentors aim to support your smooth and successful transition to UC Davis.

Who are the mentors?
Mentors are continuing DHC student volunteers who are willing to share their experiences with incoming students.

Who are the mentees?
Mentees are all incoming First-Year DHC students.

How will I benefit?
Mentors contact their mentees over the summer, usually by phone or e-mail, to get acqainted and answer questions. This has proven to be especially helpful since incoming students have a fellow DHC student and a veteran of the UC Davis campus to provide guidance during the months prior to the start of the academic year. You will be able to meet your Mentor in person at our Mentor-Mentee social event during Fall Welcome Week.
