Transfer Students
Incoming transfer students with a cumulative GPA of 3.25 or higher are encouraged to apply to the DHC program. To be considered, transfer students must complete and submit a “transfer student” online application by the deadline, 5 pm Friday, June 26.
Course Requirements
Over the course of the 2009-2010 academic year, admitted DHC Transfer students will be required to complete the following 3 components:
- Understanding the Research University Seminar -- This two-unit, letter graded course serves as an orientation to the campus and provides DHC Transfer Students an opportunity to gain an understanding of what it means to be a member of the University community.
- Two Honors Contracts -- The Honors Contract is a graded one-unit course which is completed in conjunction with any Upper Division Course. Honors Contract projects facilitate greater student-faculty interaction while allowing the student to initiate and pursue a project of his/her own choosing.
DHC Transfer students who successfully complete the aforementioned 3 components and earn a 3.25 UCD Cumulative GPA by the end of Spring 2010 will receive transcript notation and be invited to continue in the DHC for the following year.
